Cyclist Dies After Fatal Accident On A37

A cyclist has died after a fatal accident on the A37 just outside Dorchester.
The 55-year-old man from the Dorchester area was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with grey Ford Fiesta which was travelling from the Weir roundabout towards the Monkeys Jump.
The 75-year-old woman from the Dorchester area who was driving the car was uninjured.
Police Sergeant Joe Pardey, of Dorset Police's Traffic Unit, said: "The A37 remains closed while investigators examine the scene. I would like to thank affected motorists for their patience.
"I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to please call the officer in the case, Police Constable Mark Farrow on 101."
The victim's next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
