Its taking place from 7-11pm at the Town Hall.

Tickets are available on the door and the evening will also include a drumming workshop, a buffet supper and a charity auction before the main event, which is short march through the town.

WAND Chair Susan Bickle said: "The march through the streets is a way of raising awareness of the vulnerability faced by many women through domestic violence and abuse, rape honour based violence, and practises such as female circumcision."

This year we are welcoming anyone who wishes to support an end to violence against women so for the first time this will not be a female only event and so is open to everyone."

There were 693 convictions by Dorset Police in relation to domestic abuse for 2013/14.
