(Updated 2:23pm 2nd December 2014)

A one off payment of £300,000 is being made to help reduce the impact of the loss of funding when Condor Ferries leaves Weymouth.

The Borough Council's Management Committee agreed the move this morning.

They say an action plan is urgently needed to balance the budget with the council losing £750,000 in revenue when Condor leaves in March next year.
