Weymouth Nursery Broken Into

A nursery in Weymouth has been broken in to.

The ground floor window at Chipmunks Day Nursery in Buxton Road was smashed last Friday night (12th December) between 10.45pm and 11pm.

Nothing was taken, but a suspect was seen running away from the scene - he had his face covered - and was wearing a dark coat, jeans and white coloured trainers.

Detective Constable Gerald Marchant, of Weymouth CID, said: "I'd like to hear from any witnesses to this incident and from anyone who saw somebody acting suspiciously in the area of Buxton Road between 10.45pm and 11pm on Friday 12 December 2014.

"I'd also like to hear from anyone else with any other information that might help my investigation."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 12:453. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
