A Dorset School is back to normal after shots were fired on the grounds.

Armed officers were called to Highcliffe School in Christchurch just after 12 this lunchtime where a number of air pellets were found in the area.

Nobody has been hurt and the 26-year-old man from Christchurch is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Dorset Police say the matter has now been dealt with and are reassuring parents that there is no risk to anyone's safety.
