No Funding Shocks For Dorset County Council

Wessex FM Sponsor

(Updated 5:10pm 18th December 2014)

4:39pm 18th December 2014

There have been no major surprises for Dorset County Council after fresh funding cuts were announced for councils across the country.

The council told Wessex FM the government grant settlement is largely what they expected but they'll have to take a further look into the details before making any more statements.

But they say whatever the specifics - they will need to keep on finding savings to meet their long term targets.

Other councils have been reported to say they're being "pushed to breaking point" because of these latest cut-backs.
