Chippy Treats Care Home Residents To Free Lunch

Alfs Fish And Chips 1

Published at 10:48am 19th December 2014.

Care South's Buxton House care home in Weymouth will be treated to a complimentary Christmas lunch today, thanks to local restaurant Alf's Fish & Chips on Lynch Road.

Owners John and Karen Pearce organise a delivery of fish and chips to the care home as a special Christmas treat every year, even providing dessert for the residents. Residents are always delighted as they eagerly tuck into the unusual Christmas fare.

After lunch, at 1pm, residents will also receive a visit from Richard Drax, MP for South Dorset, who will be delivering Christmas gifts to the residents in their rooms on behalf of the restaurant. He will then join residents in the home's lounge for a cup of tea and a chat.
