Published at 8:29am 20th December 2014.

Bridport students will be getting a taste of the Jurassic next year.

Teachers from eight local schools will get special training about the wonders of the Jurassic Coast so they can pass on the knowledge to their pupils.

Its being funded by West Dorset Leisure Holidays who've raised £6,000 to help the Jurassic Coast Trust launch the project.

Guy Kerr from the trust says they want it to have a lasting impact.

He told Wessex FM: "It's a really a chance to up skill all the teachers in the area and so they can pass that information onto their children.

Then hopefully through ongoing sessions every year it'll become an integrated part of the schools' education programmes."
