What's Makes Good Healthcare?
9:32am 24th December 2014
The second stage in a major review of our healthcare in Dorset is underway - and now we're being asked - "What does good care look like?"
Clinicians are trying to plan for the future to make sure everyone has access to safe, high quality and affordable services.
They're inviting us to another public consultation event at Weymouth Pavilion on 14th January 10am-12pm.
They are basing their discussions on the evidence gathered, including UK and international comparisons, and a wealth of patient and public insight and feedback.
Chair of Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group Dr Forbes Watson said: "We need to think differently about how we could deliver health services to meet quality and financial challenges as well as the changing needs of our population."
"We believe there needs to be real change across the whole of our local NHS services - including primary and community as well as hospital based care - in order to meet the needs of the future."
"Be part of the conversation - join us at one of our public events in January to hear more about the clinical services review and to let us hear your views and feedback as our work develops."
They will work on developing a set of proposals to test out with local people in a public consultation next summer.
