Goats Get Post Christmas Bonanza

goathill fancy's farm

12:01am 4th January 2015

A herd of goats at a community farm on Portland are being given belated Christmas presents...

Fancy's Farm is helping recycle unwanted Christmas trees by feeding them to their goats rather than chucking them away into a landfill.

Manager Sur Illsley says donations are coming in all shapes and sizes.

She told Wessex FM: "Gould's Garden Centre is dropping off a truck load of 40 plus trees on Monday (5th January). We've also had your normal household trees from 4 foot to 6 foot."

"The biggest one we've been sent was 12 foot so I'm not sure where that one came from!"

You can donate your tree to Fancy's farm by dropping it off at the farm between 10am-6pm on weekdays.
