Published at 12:19pm 5th January 2015.

Thieves have been targeting people living in Mosterton near Beaminster over the Christmas holidays after they stole a car, jewellery and electrical items from a home in the village.

Offenders forced their way into the property between 10am on Christmas day and 11:30am on 27th December while the people living there were away.

Police Constable Neil Gauden, of Bridport police, said: "I am now in the position to release images of some of the items stolen and I am appealing for any witnesses and anyone with information about those responsible to come forward and contact police."

"I would like to hear from anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area during this time span."

"Also, I urge anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the stolen objects or has been offered the items pictured or electrical items for unusually low prices to call Dorset Police."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 27:115.
