American Football Try-Outs In Dorchester

Published at 1:59pm 7th January 2015.

If you've fancied yourself as a commanding quarter-back, a fearsome line-backer or a flying wide receiver then you can get involved with Dorset's newest American Football team tonight.

Jurassic Coast Raptors are holding try-outs for anyone who wants to get involved tonight (7th January) at Dorchester Rugby Club from 7pm.

Coach Bill Heinrich told Wessex FM what they're looking for from potential players.

He said: "Big and burly is good but small and fast is also good because American Football is a sport that can accommodate any body shape really."

"What’s more important is commitment and a level of interest as it's quite a technical and complicated sport."

Anyone who wants to attend the training is being asked to bring football boots and water.
