A café that helps children with complex needs at Wyvern Academy gain valuable work experience is opening its doors in Weymouth today (9th January).

The WyFri café at Hope Church was so successful last year in helping students learn about the world of work that it'll run throughout 2015.

Pupils will be get experience in everything from working in the kitchen to waiting on tables.

Andrew Holland, Head of the Sixth Form, said: "There are often opportunities for our students to enter the world of catering."

"Working in kitchens and serving at tables can be quite challenging for those with special needs and the WyFri Café has been set up to provide real experience and training for those about to enter the world of work."

The café will be open at the Hope Church on 13th February, 13th March, 8th May and 12th June.

It'll also be running at the Dorford Centre on 23rd January, 27th March, 22nd May and 26th.
