"Broadchurch Fever" Sees Holiday Park Bookings Soar

A holiday park near West Bay are putting "Broadchurch Fever" down to a huge surge in year to date bookings.

Since the TV drama has been on our screens - Highlands End Holiday Park - which has views over Eype Beach were the series is filmed - has seen nearly a 200% increase in bookings for their Tenting, Touring Caravans and Motorhome pitches.

The park's also seen bookings for lodges and apartments increase by nearly 58%.

At the end of October 2014 the Cast and Crew of Broadchurch were filming for the current second series at the yellow hut on Eype Beach, which has featured in both the past and previous series. Whilst the holiday makers at Highlands End Holiday Park were asked not to take pictures of any plot spoilers; they had a bird's eye view of the filming from the decking of their caravan holiday homes.

With a spectacular twist in the first episode and with the local knowledge that the current series features a number of new locations in and around West Bay, the park says demand for accommodation has increased dramatically and they expect it to remain high throughout 2015.
