Dorset PCC To Visit Dorchester

PCC Martyn Underhill

7:04am 21st January 2015
(Updated 9:44am 21st January 2015)

People in Dorchester will have to chance to talk to our Police and Crime Commissioner in the county town on Friday (30th January).

Dorset PCC Martyn Underhill and his team will be talking to residents about the issues affecting them from 10am to 3pm at Tesco Store on Weymouth Avenue.

He told Wessex FM said: "I am really looking forward to meeting residents in the Dorchester area - I want to get to the heart of the community and hear first-hand, the policing and crime issues that matter to people from that area."

Then the PCC is meeting staff and volunteers who run the Appropriate Adult Scheme in police custody suites and those based at Dorchester Police Station.

The visit to Dorchester is part of a rolling programme of monthly community days across Dorset, where residents can talk to Martyn about his role and raise any policing or wider community safety issues.
