arts-council-360x240

7:21am 15th September 2015

The eldest child of British realist artist Lucian Freud will be giving an insightful talk about six of her fathers paintings at Bridport Arts Centre next Wednesday.

Annie Freud will provide an intimate and unique view of the painter's methods, interests and beliefs at the time the works were created.

She will also impart several anecdotes to help the audience to better understand the distiguished artist.

Overall the talk aims to respond to Lucian Freud's renowned quote: "What do I ask of a painting? I ask it to astonish, convince, seduce and disturb."

Annie is an established poet who was deemed Next Generation Poet in 2014 by the Poetry Book Society and has written multiple awarded poetry collections.
