Rugby World Cup Flags Flown By Weymouth & Portland RFC

Clubs flies flags of competing nations ahead of their schools rugby event this afternoon and World Cup opening tonight.

The 2015 Rugby World Cup begins today with England tackling Fiji at Twickenham.

Weymouth and Portland Rugby Club are flying the flags of all the competing nations.

Speaking at last weekend's Rugbyathon in Dorchester, England's womens captain Sarah Hunter says we should make the most of the game being in the spotlight

This afternoon Weymouth and Portland Rugby Club host a schools tournament from 1 o'clock followed by food and drink for children and adults from 5pm, building up to the opening ceremony then the big match which is an 8 o'clock kick off.


The club's flying the flags of all 20 competing nations, and will then keep the Six Nations Flags (England, Scotland Wales, Ireland, France & Italy) flying till the end of their tournament in the Spring. The club flag and England's will remain as a permanent fixture.
