Police in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after thieves broke into a pub and stole a large quantity of cash.

Police in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after thieves broke into a pub and stole a large quantity of cash.

The incident happened overnight between Sunday 4 October and Monday 5 October 2015 at the Turk's Head, East Street, Chickerell.

Offenders forced their way into the property and stole cash from two vending machines and a safe.

Detective Constable Andy Marsh, of Weymouth CID, said: "I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to call me on 101.

"All calls will be treated in strict confidence."
