The tower at Dorchester Fire station's the venue for a sponsored abseil with participants dodging smoke and water jets aimed by firefighters as they fall.

The fundraising's for Action For Children. Spokesperson Sara Shearman says 'The day will be a lot of fun, anyone who wants to come and try our challenge is welcome. No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given on the day. The challenge is to beat the Tower and get through the smoke and water to the ground.'
