Ever wondered what Dorset's UK Youth Parliament members do?

Well, our rep Jack Dunne's been telling Wessex FM about his role.

Apart from promoting the county and speaking about the Jurassic Coast at an UNESCO heritage conference in Wales, he's about to go to the House of Commons for the first time.

Members of the UK Youth Parliament also held an information day last week to share their experiences with other students.

The day was run by young people and aimed to give other students a better understanding of political processes and the opportunity to meet like-minded young people.

Jack Dunne, Member of the UK Youth Parliament said:

"We hope this training day for other students will give them the opportunity to develop their skills so they can get involved with Dorset Youth Council and UK Youth Parliament projects on a local and national level."

Members of the UK Youth Parliament, Jack Dunne and Lucy Armstrong together with Dorset Members of Youth Parliament Grace Van Zyl and Crystal-Lily Mills ran  a series of personal development and skill building workshops focussing on communication and campaigning.
