Investigations are continuing into a fight in Weymouth which has seen the arrest of four men.

Investigations are continuing into a fight in Weymouth which has seen the arrest of four men.

The incident took place between 5am and 6am on Saturday 12 December 2015 in the Gloucester Mews area.

It was reported that two groups of men were involved and that it may be linked to another alleged altercation outside of the Boom Box night club on the Esplanade around the same timeframe.

Two local men sustained injuries, one to his ear and the other to his neck, as a result of the incident and were taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.

Police attended the scene of the incident and are now making enquiries to try and establish exactly what happened.

Detective Constable Tony O'Connell, of Weymouth CID, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information relevant to it.

"I would urge these people to come forward and contact me, in confidence, on 101."

A 29-year-old man, 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man - all from Portland - and a 30-year-old Weymouth man have been arrested on suspicion of affray and released on bail, pending further enquiries, until the beginning of February 2016.
