Dorset Police have closed part of the A31 this morning after an accident involving a tractor.

The road between Stag Gate and the Roundhouse Roundabout is shut.

Diversions are in place.

Dorset Police have told Wessex FM:

"We were called at 6.45am today to reports of a two vehicle RTC between silver Ford Focus and Tractor on A31 near to the junction with Dullar Lane."

"The Air ambulance has been requested due to one person with serious injuries."
