Safewise Weymouth celebrate their 3rd anniversary

roadwise weymouth

7:18am 21st April 2017

The Dorset safety charity SafeWise Weymouth is marking three years since it opened its doors.

Numerous trustees including the Mayor of Weymouth and Portland and South Dorset's MP will be at a VIP event today.

They will be looking at FireWise, an interactive fire survival suite which shows people what it would feel like to experience a fire in a safe environment.

SafeWise will also show off their new driving simulator which they say will test out a 'virtual reality' world of road safety education.

Chief Executive Alison Shelton said: "Its an interactive environment where its hands on. They can see real consequences. Feel real fire - through a glass panel and actually get behind a wheel of a car before they can drive. We believe these are the messages that will stay with them for life."

"It's about sharing the message about safety and respect for others."

Safewise Weymouth is supported by Wessex FM.
