What will Brexit mean for you?

10:36am 21st April 2017

A meeting is going to be held in Dorchester tonight (21st April) to find out more about what Brexit means for the county.

The group 'West Dorset For Europe' says everyone is welcome to discover how it could affect local jobs, the NHS and our legal rights.

It is also for anyone worried about the impact on Dorset-European families.

Sir Oliver Letwin MP (Conservative), Clare Moody MEP (Labour) and Jake Perkins (Dorset Youth Council) will be there to answer questions.

The event will be chaired by retired diplomat, Bob Dewar.

The public meeting will be held at 7pm at Dorchester Town Hall.

Kate Hebditch, spokesperson for West Dorset for Europe, said: "We'd like to welcome everyone - whatever your views on Brexit - to this free event. Find out what leaving the EU will mean for local jobs, the NHS and our legal rights.

"How can we ensure our environment continues to be protected? How will it affect Dorset-European families or relatives living abroad? Come and ask your own questions about the issues that concern you."
