UPDATED: Body found in search for missing man

The body of a man has been found in the river in Christchurch.

At 1.04pm on Monday 1 May 2017, Dorset Police was made aware of the discovery.

The body is believed to be that of missing Steve Grey, who is 51 and from Sark in the Channel Islands.

He had travelled from Guernsey to Poole on a planned trip on 27 March 2017. Since then, he had been staying in hotels but not been seen or heard from since Saturday 8 April 2017.

The coroner has been informed but formal identification has not yet taken place.
