Local Football: Massive win for Weymouth

Football generic

7:46am 12th October 2017

Weymouth hit Farnborough for six last night with a 6-2 win that puts them 5th in the Southern Premier League.

There were 2 goals from Harry Baker, with Matt Tubbs, Josh Carmichael, Brandon Goodship and Ben Thomson completing the scoring.

Speaking to The Terras dot com - Team Captain Jake McCarthy said they had to fight for it at times:

"We started well. We were 2-0 up then all of a sudden we conceded two sloppy goals. It was half time 3-2 but we knew we were miles ahead in the game, it was just a matter of time. We got the ball down in the second half, kept passing it and the balls just kept going in."
