In the Southern League Premier, Weymouth hosted struggling Kings Langley at the Bob Lucas Stadium. It took an own goal late on in the game and a goal from new player Charlie Seaman to decide the result in Weymouth's favour, as they won 2-0. They're at home to Tiverton on Tuesday night.

Dorchester took a break from league action as their attentions turned to the FA trophy. The Magpies hosted Heybridge Swifts in their second qualifying round clash at the Avenue Stadium, and an early goal from Phil Ormrod gave them a lead for much of the game. However the visitors piled on the pressure towards the end of the second half, and found the two goals they needed to deny the Magpies a spot in the next round.

Both Bridport and Portland Utd's games were called off.

In the rugby and Dorchester beat New Milton's 2nd team 55-0, and Puddletown also enjoyed a home win after beating East Dorset 30-0. There was defeat for Bridport and also Weymouth & Portland.

Results:

Weymouth 2-0 Kings Langley

Dorchester 1-2 Heybridge Swifts (FA Trophy)

Rugby:

Bridport 10-28 Wimborne 2nd Team

Weymouth & Portland 15-32 Bournemouth 3rd Team
