Men's shed settles into its new home

9:22am 14th November 2017

It's a special day for a local community workshop.

The Dorchester Men's Shed is now fully operational in its new home at Kingston Maurward, following an offer by the Principal and Trustees.

It provides woodwork classes to men and women to help prevent loneliness and provide social interaction.

In the last few weeks since leaving its former site at Whitfield, new workbenches have been made and walls have been painted ready for today.

The Shed has a heavy workload of finger posts to complete and is preparing for a stand at the Christmas Cracker. The Dorchester Men's Shed has just had an order for 150 bird boxes for the Habitat First Group confirmed.

For more information on the shed, contact Graeme Trinder, secretary@dorchestermensshed.org.uk or call 01305 26 77 22.
