Weymouth Wildcats are coming back

Wildcats At Isle Of Wight Warriors June 2016

11:15am 20th November 2017

There's good news for local Speedway fans.

Weymouth Wildcats say they are plans to bring speedway back to the area in a joint venture.

Details are a bit sketchy at the moment, over the location the parties involved.

The club say they'll release more information in due course.

Co Owner Martin Peters said: "I'm extremely happy to bring back speedway back to the area. And after a few knock backs we could well be on the road to bringing back this fabulous sport to the area."

Co Owner James Tresadern said: "After 2 years of hard work, we can finally say that this news was just what we needed to hear. So many brick walls have been put up in front of us, but we have kept on going, never given up hope. Now the next step starts. There is a way to go yet, but we're looking forward to a positive future for Weymouth wildcats."
