Flood Warning issued for West Bay Harbour

Amy West Bay

(Updated 9:34am 7th December 2017)

8:28am 7th December 2017

A flood warning has been issued for West Bay Harbour.

The Environment Agency say flooding to properties around West Beach and the harbour is likely this morning.

Large waves and spray are likely so we are being urged to take care near coastal paths and promenades.

This may cause localised standing water on roads between Park Dean Campsite and West Bay Road.

Environment Agency said: "Staff have checked defences in the area and we are continuing to monitor the situation closely. Coastal conditions should ease for Fridays (8th December) high tide at 9am, however we are continuing to monitor the situation."
