Broken down vehicle causing misery for drivers on A35

Motorists are being told to avoid the A35 between Chideock and Bothenhampton. 

A vehicle's broken down between the A3162 West Road and Duck Street, causing extremely slow traffic in the area. 

Dorset Police said: "We received a call at 3.34pm reporting a broken-down vehicle on the Bridport side of Chideock Hill on the A35.

"The owner has arranged for the vehicle's recovery and an officer is on the scene."

Recovery is at the scene and should be dealt with later this afternoon.
