Saturday's Rail Strike - It's OFF!

South West Trains Dorchester South

(Updated 7:20am 10th August 2018)

6:11pm 9th August 2018

There's great news for rail commuters.

Saturday's planned strike by the RMT union has been called off to allow further talks to take place.

Wessex FM received the following statement from South Western Railway:

"We are pleased for our passengers that this strike has been called off to allow further talks to take place. This means we will be running a full Saturday timetable on 11 August."

The strike action is the result of a row over safety and the axing of guards.
