Body found in search for missing Weymouth man

The discovery was made at Radipole Lake Nature Reserve.

A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Weymouth.

Dorset Police say the discovery was made at 1.30am this morning (21 September.)

The man's body was found at Radipole Lake nature reserve.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "While formal identification is yet to take place, we are very sad to report that the body is believed to be that of Michael Hayes. His next of kin have been informed."

"He was reported missing at around 7.30pm yesterday, Thursday 20 September 2018 after leaving his home address in the Melcombe Regis area."

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
