Weymouth, Dorchester, Bridport and Portland were all in action.

It was National Non League day and there were a number of fascinating matches involving our top local sides.

In the Southern League Premier, leaders Weymouth headed to Swindon Supermarine, who took the lead before Calvin Brooks pegged them back to 1-1 by half time. Harry Baker was shown red towards the end of the match, and despite being down to 10 the Terras finished the game 1-1. They face Tiverton on Tuesday night.

Dorchester were looking for back to back victories as they entertained Walton Casuals at the Clayson Stadium. Luke Winsper put them ahead in the first half. The visitors then equalised in the 79th minute and the final score was 1-1.

Portland United were going all out for a place in the fourth round of the Southern League Cup against Tadley Calleva. After falling a couple of goals behind the Blues made it 2-2 after 90 minutes. They then went on to win 4-3 on penalties and booked their place in the next round.

In the FA Vase Bridport took on Falmouth Town away, and they had a disappointing afternoon losing 6-0.

In rugby and as Dorchester were unable to raise a side in their Dorset and Wilts Cup game, Devizes were given a home walkover. Puddletown meanwhile beat Blandford 26-14.
