Man found with head injuries in Weymouth

A man's been arrested on suspicion of assault after an incident in Lynch Lane in Weymouth.

Police were called yesterday (18 October) morning to reports of a local man in his 30's with a head injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "A cordon has been put in place to allow investigators to examine the scene. A 49-year-old Weymouth man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries."
