A Weymouth charity building has had to be evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious item.
Police were called out to the Lantern Resource Centre on Ranelagh Road at 3.10pm this afternoon.
The surrounding area had been cordoned off and the Army's bomb disposal team was requested.

Members of the public were told stay away from the area.
It turns out the item posed no risk to the community.
Stanley Street was closed at the junction with Queen Street and Ranelagh Road was shut at the junction with Derby Street.
Weymouth Station was also evacuated and due to a signalling problem all lines between Weymouth and Bournemouth are currently blocked and services are terminating at Southampton.
The police cordon has been lifted and the nearby roads have re-opened along with Weymouth station.
