Dorset Blind Association's Bright for Sight Night Run is coming to Weymouth!

The well-loved fun run aims to light up Weymouth seafront to raise vital awareness for sight loss in the local community.

The popular event, sponsored by Friths Opticians, usually takes place on Boscombe seafront but has become so successful that the sight loss charity is expanding the event along the coast to become county-wide.

The run takes place on Saturday 13th April and is open to all ages and abilities, so bring the whole family along and wear your brightest clothing to help make Weymouth's first Bright for Sight Night run the brightest run yet!

Helena Sinclair, Events Fundraiser at Dorset Blind Association said: "We hope that the event will raise additional support and vital awareness in the local community for sight loss and the ever-growing need for our services."

The evening will begin with a Zumba warm-up before the run starts at 8.30pm.

Entry is £15 per person which includes an exclusive 'Bright for Sight' medal and a runner's goody bag. Group discount is available to groups of four or more at £12 per person.

Dorset Blind Association are also encouraging participants to raise sponsorship for their 5k or 10k challenge to support them in the 100th year. Currently the charity support over 1000 visually impaired people every month.
