Man discharged from hospital after incident in Weymouth

He was found unconscious, lying in a road nearly 4 weeks ago.

Dorset Police say a man has now been discharged from hospital after being found lying unconscious in a road in Weymouth.

 

  • The 26-year-old was found unconscious in Beverley Road.
  • The incident happened on the 19th January.
  • Polide don't think anyone else was involved,

The incident happened nearly a month ago.

Police were called to Beverley Road just before 10pm on Saturday the 19th January, where they found a man in his 20's.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital with a serious head injury.

Detective Sergeant Tom Hall, of Weymouth CID, said: "I am pleased to report that the injured man has now left hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

"We have conducted a full investigation into this incident and have now spoken with the man involved. From these enquiries we do not believe there was any third party involvement and we are no longer treating the incident as suspicious."
