  • It recognises its outstanding contribution to tourism.
  • Judges thought the centre was 'bright, friendly and professional.'

The South West Tourism Excellence Awards annually recognise outstanding contributions to Tourism across the South West.

Before being shortlisted for the award, Bridport TIC had to be extensively assessed on a range of factors including: customer service, accessibility, digital marketing and staff training.

Judges commended the Centre on its "Bright, friendly and professional office with an excellent team."

Manager of Bridport TIC, Terri Foxwell, said: "We are all absolutely delighted with this award. We are a dedicated team, who work very hard to provide the best service we can and to get this recognition is fantastic."

This is the third award won by the TIC, since the Town Council took over in 2017, said Sarah Williams, Leader of Bridport Town Council.

She remains convinced that "running services locally" has been a major contributor towards the success of both Bridport Council and the TIC.
