Machinery worth hundreds stolen near Dorchester

Hundreds of pounds worth of machinery has been stolen in two breaks-ins around Dorchester this week.

A Dorset County Council shipping container was broken into along Bridport Road, sometime overnight on Monday.

On Wednesday a secure barn was broken into on Wolfedale Golf Course in Charminster.

Hedge trimmers, strimmers, chainsaws and lawn mowers were snatched.

Police are urging residents to step up their security at night.
