Thieves have ransacked a business in Dorchester.

Staff at Dorchester Aesthetics Centre in Durngate Street were shocked to find the glass front door window smashed on Saturday morning.

It's thought around £5,000 worth of damage has been caused, together with cash, make-up and products taken.

Lisa Ryall is the businesses Director and Founder. She told Wessex FM she's also had personal items taken; "The most important thing which upsets me the most is my personal hard-drive which was attached to the computer, which I never normally leave in the salon was taken. It's got all my photos of my kids growing up, and that really has caught my heart a bit."

"Everything else can be replaced, memories can't be replaced."

"If anyone knows anything or if the person who came into the salon can return the hard-drive I would be very grateful."

Another business in the same road was also targeted, but thieves failed to get in.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Dorset Police.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 8.42am on Saturday 13 April 2019 to reports of a break to Dorchester Aesthetics Centre in Durngate Street, Dorchester. Offenders smashed the front door to gain access."

"A computer, cash Amazon Alexa and cosmetics were stolen. The offence happened sometime between 7pm on Friday 12 April and 8.30am on Saturday 13 April 2019. An investigation is underway."
