RSPB Arne's inviting you to a big sleepout.

The RSPB at Arne's inviting us to spend a night under the stars for its Big Wild Sleepout event.

The aim is to get us back to basics and reconnect to the natural world - by bug-hunting, evening walks and and cooking food over a campfire.

Ellie Sunderland, RSPB Arne Visitor Experience Manager, said: "Our special RSPB Arne Big Wild Sleepout is a great opportunity to get outside and spend the night in the wild and at a spot not usually open to the public. Bring your tent and sleeping bag and camp out in a beautiful area of the reserve.

"We'll be getting back to nature, going on a bug safari and enjoying food cooked over our campfire - all in the stunning setting of the RSPB Arne nature reserve. Later, we'll head out onto the heathland for an evening walk to track down nightjar, glow worms, owls and bats."

Ellie continued: "If you want to seek out nocturnal wildlife, wake up to the sun rising over Poole Harbor or just want to experience our special reserve at night, this is your chance."
