Anger after filming at Castle Cove.

Trustees of Castle Cove Beach in Weymouth have hit out at the makers of TV show, 'Don't tell the Bride.'

Crews filmed an episode of the E4 programme, involving a couple's dream wedding, on the beach at the weekend without permission.

But the apparent mix-up isn't what locals have been left angry about, its plastic confetti.

Friends of Castle Cove beach asked the film crew to make sure they took their rubbish away with them, but that's not what happened.

Steve Elsworth is chair of Castle Cove Trustees, he told Wessex FM: "They left all of this plastic rubbish on the beach and the tide came in. And once the tide came in it washed all this plastic out to see. Our supporters ran around picking up as much as they could. They were just so distressed to see all this filth going into our ocean."

The production company behind the filming is Renegade Pictures. They have issued an apology to the Friends of Castle Cove Beach.

But Steve Elsworth would like to see more action, said; "The producer is devastated and he's offered to come down to Weymouth and apologize. We accept they are sorry, but words are so cheap. Its not morally right for people to make profit out of dumping plastic in the ocean. We think it would be a good idea if they came up with some solid gesture. We would like to see them ban plastic from all future shoots."

Wessex FM has contacted Renegade Pictures, but so far we've not had a response.
