Weymouth Lions club's helped screen over 200 men.

A prostate cancer screening day at Weymouth Pavillion's tested over 200 local men.

It kills over 11, 500 men every year. However, if identified early, survival rates can be improved.

The New-Man Group, in partnership with Prostate Cancer Support Organisation (PCaSO) and Lions Club, carried out over 200 free PSA blood tests on local men at The Pavilion.

The PSA blood test doesn't confirm a diagnosis of Prostate Cancer, but it's a useful indicator of potential problems if periodically checked at the age of 50 and over.

Weymouth and Portland Lions Club donated £500 in sponsorship for the event.

Men over-50 are encouraged to book regular PSA screenings with their GPs.
