New Weymouth women’s group

New Weymouth women’s group

Published by George Sharpe at 6:08pm 12th June 2019.

The first meeting's on Tuesday.

If you are in the Weymouth, Portland or Dorchester areas of Dorset there is a new women’s group starting next week.

It’s an opportunity for ‘fun, chat, sharing interests and mutual support’.

Pauline Edge, who is setting up the group in association with the National Women’s Register said:

“We are looking for women to establish a brand new group in Weymouth.

“Women often rely upon the friendship and support we provide to one another, never more so than in today’s hectic lives.

“There are lots of dating websites available to find a partner – but where do we go if we simply want to make more friends?

“We are all told to keep our bodies healthy, shouldn’t we be taking the same time to care for our minds, our imaginations and our personalities?”

The new group will meet regularly to talk about a range of topics from current affairs to a book discussion; craft projects to films - or anything you're particularly passionate about.

The group first meeting will be at the Library Harbour Cafe, Trinity Street, Weymouth on 18 June at 6pm.
