Travel: Trouble on the trains

Services from Weymouth affected.

There are problems for rail users this morning.

Services on CrossCountry trains have been suspended between Brockenhurst and Bournemouth.

It's due to an incident on the line, which is being dealt with by emergency services. 

On South Western Railway routes between Weymouth, Poole, Bournemouth and London Waterloo will be affected.

South Western Railway Train 2018

A South Western Railway spokesperson said: “We are very sorry for the delay to customer journeys this morning. All lines are currently blocked between Brockenhurst and Bournemouth stations as emergency services deal with an incident.”

"To help customers with journeys, we are arranging for ticket acceptance to be in place where possible on local bus services.

"We are also advising customers to speak to a member of staff or use a station help point for advice on onward travel.

"If you’ve have been delayed by 15 minutes or longer, you can claim compensation under our Delay Repay scheme. 

"You can also claim if you’ve missed your connection to other services because of a delay or cancellation on your SWR train - https://www.southwesternrailway.com/delay-repay."
