Body cameras linked to fewer complaints about Dorset Police

Body cameras linked to fewer complaints about Dorset Police

Published by Maria Greenwood at 7:22am 12th July 2019.

The claim comes from Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill.

Mr Underhill was speaking at the county’s police and crime panel.

He said that although there was, as yet, no measurable evidence linking fewer complaints with the rise in the use of body worn cameras, anecdotally, it appeared to be the case.

Mr Underhill announced that the cameras are now also being worn by PCSOs and will soon be rolled out to special constables.
