A special wing for former Armed Forces offenders could be created in one of the prisons on Portland.

If given the go-ahead, it would be a 'supportive' space for these offenders - who often have different needs to other inmates and are reportedly sometimes bullied.

The new wing could also house older offenders.

Prison's Minister Robert Buckland is meeting with Dorset's Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill this week to discuss plans.
