Seatbelts 'undoubtedly saved their lives'

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service is reminding us to always buckle-up after they had to extract a lady trapped in a car following a crash in Sherborne at the weekend.

The casualty was released by fire crews using hydraulic cutting equipment and left in the hands of the ambulance to be taken to hospital.

Two other passengers managed to free themselves.

The rescue team said that all three occupants of the car could have died if they weren't wearing seatbelts.

The incident happened on the A3030 at Alweston.
