West Dorset 'pub garden of the year'

This years winner of the West Dorset Campaign for Real Ale 'pub garden of the year' has been annoucned.

The Crown Inn at Puncknowle won this years award, thanks to their use of a 'relatively small space'. 

CAMRA praised the garden for it stringed lighting that illuminates it at night, and it's view of St Bride's valley.

A wide selection of plants and wildflowers caters to bees and butterflies - as well as providing herbs that are used in the pub kitchen.

Dave Harris West Dorset CAMRA Chairman said: 

"We are always pleased it recognise a garden that enhances a pub."

"This year we are glad to be giving our award to the Crown which was nominated and judged by our members to be the best in the competition.

"Well done to all at the Crown."

Licensees Anna and James Lemon expressed their delight at being chosen as this year's winner, thanking all of their customers
